I’m Ranjini Nambiar, Founder & Chief Journey Curator of Footloose Yatra. For over 25 years, I’ve been building journeys that go far beyond destinations—experiences rooted in culture, connection, and purpose.
Footloose Yatra grew from my belief that travel should be immersive, thoughtful, and deeply human. Over the years, I’ve shaped the company into a trusted name for curated holidays, cultural immersion programs, and meaningful travel experiences that celebrate India’s extraordinary diversity. Every journey we design is intended to spark curiosity, foster understanding, and leave a lasting emotional imprint.
My leadership journey has also extended beyond my own organisation. I had the privilege of serving as National President of SKÅL International India from 2018 to 2020, leading one of the country’s largest professional networks in travel and tourism. During this time, I worked closely with industry peers to strengthen collaboration, elevate India’s voice on global platforms, and actively support and mentor women within the travel fraternity.
While travel remains my primary canvas, my love for culture naturally flows into food. What began as a Weekend Pop-Up Kitchen during the lockdown has since evolved into a soon-to-launch Supper Club celebrating the soulful flavours of Malabari cuisine—a journey that also saw me become a Top 8 Finalist at MasterChef India 2023 (South Zone Auditions).
In 2013, I conceived Culinary Yatra—an initiative that curates food-focused journeys and chef-led experiences, bringing travellers closer to regional cuisines, local traditions, and the stories behind every dish.
Whether through travel or food, my work is guided by one simple belief: meaningful experiences create deeper connections—between people, cultures, and communities.
